Why is your immune system so important?

The below quotes sum up very good why your immune system is important.

“No doctor has ever healed anyone of anything in the history of the world. The human immune system heals and that’s the only thing that heals.”
– Bob Wright, American Anti-Cancer Institute Founder

“With cancer or any other chronic disease, it’s all about lowering inflammation and increasing the immune system response .“
– Dr. Sunil Pai, M.D.

Your immune system is your firewall between your body and foreign threats that can cause infections and diseases. It defends your body from harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi. Your immune system can become compromised by poor diet, lifestyle, stress, anxiety, environment, medications, and other factors. As you age, your immunity declines as well. It’s important to support and enhance your immune system when you get older.
