What is healing energy?
Through my healing journey, I learnt that my body is a miraculous messenger that is constantly communicating with me. If I am in physical or emotional discomfort, this means my body is out of balance. Energy healing is a holistic practice that healers channel healing energy (which is called “qi” in Traditional Chinese Medicine or “prana” in Ayurveda) from universal life force into patient’s body through the hands to help remove energetic blocks, and restore or balance the body’s energy field for better health. The energy healing therapy helps facilitate self-healing and energetic balance throughout the body, mind, and spirit.
What is to expect from your energy healing session?
The healing session is carried out with you sitting either on a yoga mat in a meditation position or on a chair/couch facing me.
As energy can be transported through space and time, the healing session can be done remotely with the same results.
The session starts with a few minutes of breathing exercises together to help you feel calm, relaxed, and ready to receive the healing.
As a healer, I start attuning to the healing energy. Energy is channelled via my hands on and around your body to effect the healing. During the session, you find yourself letting go and enter into a deeply meditative and relaxing state. The process releases any energetic blockages or imbalances, negative thoughts or emotions in your body.
At some points, you may experience certain sensations (warm, cold or tingling feeling) of your body. In some cases suppressed emotions of old memories are evoked during the session which can be released.
As the blockages are removed and your chakras are all in balance, you can experience a state of well-being, inner peace, connectedness, and wholeness.
The healing therapy can help heal your body and restore the physical and emotional well-being. For optimum healing, repeated treatments needed to overcome the body’s inertia.
As a healer, I come to this work with an understanding that healing does not always mean curing. Healing has the same true of mindfulness, it requires receptivity and acceptance. Jon Kabat-Zinn said “It is only when the mind is open and receptive that learning and seeing and change can occur.” So healing helps bring us to a place of wholeness, a sense of being in acceptance of what is and that helps us transform our mental, emotional and physical pain into strength.
